Privacy and trust

Privacy at BidCheck

Your contractor estimate can contain sensitive details. We handle it as private information and use it to provide your estimate analysis.

Effective September 16, 2026

Information we handle

When you use BidCheck, we may handle your account details, contact information, ZIP code, project details, and contractor estimate documents. Estimates can contain sensitive information such as names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, contractor details, insurance information, pricing, and photos.

How estimate documents are used

We use uploaded estimates and the project information you provide to create your estimate analysis, operate the service, support your account, and improve reliability and security. Your uploaded documents and reports are not public and are not used as public marketing examples without your separate permission.

No contractor sharing without permission

BidCheck does not send your uploaded estimate, report, or contact information to a contractor simply because you use the service. If we introduce a Get Another Bid feature, you decide what information to share. We will not share your existing estimate unless you explicitly choose to do so.

Anonymized pricing benchmarks

We may create aggregated, de-identified benchmarking data from project information, quote details, and outcome data. This data is designed to support pricing research and product improvement and does not include homeowner names, addresses, contact information, or other direct identifiers.

Your choices and deletion

You can request deletion of uploaded documents and reports associated with your account. Deleting a document may prevent us from continuing or recreating its analysis. We may retain limited information when reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal obligations, or completing a transaction already in progress.

Service providers and security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information. Authorized service providers may process information only to help us operate BidCheck, such as secure hosting, document processing, account authentication, customer support, and payments. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Updates and contact

We may update this policy as BidCheck evolves. If a change is material, we will update this page. For privacy questions or a deletion request, contact us through the support option available in your BidCheck account.
